The social impact of Celta Integra Zelnova recognized at the Granadas Solidarias Galicia Awards

1 June 2026

Fundación Celta has been honoured with the “Inclusion through Sport” award at the first edition of the Granadas Solidarias Galicia Awards, an initiative promoted by Hogar y Clínica San Rafael in Vigo, part of the Hospitaller Order of Saint John of God. This award recognises the Foundation’s commitment to promoting inclusion, equal opportunities and personal development through sport.

The recognition particularly highlights the work carried out through the Celta Integra Zelnova programme, a project that uses football as a tool for growth, teamwork and self-improvement. Through this initiative, Fundación Celta creates inclusive spaces that encourage participation and the holistic development of individuals, while also involving users of Hogar y Clínica San Rafael.

The award ceremony took place on 28 May in Vigo as part of the Granadas Solidarias Galicia gala, which brought together nearly one hundred representatives from Galicia’s business, social and institutional sectors. The event was created with the aim of recognising projects, organisations and individuals whose work helps build a more inclusive, supportive and people-centred society.

For Fundación Celta, this distinction represents important recognition of the work it has been carrying out to use football as a driver of social transformation. The award reinforces the organisation’s commitment to inclusion and encourages it to continue promoting initiatives that create opportunities, foster positive values and contribute to the well-being of Galician society.
