Diversum Concept Café has once again proven that inclusion is not just a theoretical concept, but a reality built every day. The project, which redefines the traditional café model by combining high-quality gastronomy with social commitment, experienced an especially meaningful afternoon this Tuesday.
Diversum was born with a clear purpose: to create a space for breakfasts, brunches, and snacks in a welcoming environment while offering real job opportunities for people with functional diversity. Currently, nine professionals with physical, sensory, and/or intellectual functional diversity are part of the team, developing their work in an inclusive environment that respects their rights and enhances their skills.
In this context, a very special visit took place. The Celta Integra Zelnova team, accompanied by their coordinator and coaching staff, visited the café to share a snack with Samu, a former player of the team and now a member of the Diversum staff. Samu had to leave football following a serious injury that marked a turning point in his sporting career; however, the bond with his teammates was never broken. The team’s visit to his current workplace was a gesture filled with meaning and emotion.
For Diversum, encounters like this represent the true impact of the project: building community, bridging different life stages, and proving that inclusion extends far beyond the workplace into social and sporting environments. The afternoon of February 10th was much more than just a snack: it was a celebration of a project that values diversity as an asset and keeps people at its core.
