The Fundación Celta promoted a new environmental awareness initiative together with APROEMA and Celta at Arealonga Beach and Promenade, where 25 young players from the Vigo-based club, accompanied by 3 Celta coordinators and 2 APROEMA environmental educators, took part in an educational activity focused on waste separation and the protection of the coastal environment.
The activity, held on May 7, combined environmental education, teamwork and social awareness through participatory dynamics in which the youngsters learned how to identify and classify different types of waste commonly found in coastal areas. During the session, they also reflected on the relationship between consumption habits, marine pollution and sustainability.

In total, an estimated 56 kilograms of waste were collected, including bulky materials such as pallets, foam, rubble and metal waste, as well as packaging, glass, paper-cardboard and cigarette butts.
With this initiative, Fundación Celta reinforces its commitment to values-based education and sustainability, promoting responsible habits and respect for the environment among younger generations.
