The Salón Regio of A Sede reopened its doors for a new edition of the Celtalks Adeslas, an initiative promoted by the Celta Foundation that continues to grow as a space for meeting and training for the players of A Canteira.
After the previous sessions featuring Desirée Vila and Adi Iglesias, this third meeting focused on addiction prevention. On this occasion, the Asociación Érguete was in charge of leading a talk focused on informing and raising awareness about the risks associated with both substance use and behavioral addictions.
During the meeting, realities increasingly present in adolescence were addressed, such as the excessive use of social media, gambling addiction, or the consumption of energy drinks. With a special focus on the stage of adolescence, the objective was to inform, raise awareness, and provide the youth academy players with tools to make responsible decisions that protect their health and their future.
The Asociación Érguete was born in the 80s when a group of Galician mothers joined together to face the devastating consequences of drug trafficking in Galicia. Since then, the non-profit and social initiative entity works to promote healthy lifestyle habits, generate opportunities, and provide support to individuals and families affected by addictive, disruptive, and/or risky behaviors, intervening in the legal, social, preventive, and educational fields.
With this new session, the Celtalks Adeslas consolidate as a training space for the youth to grow with the necessary foundations to face all the challenges present in society with maturity and responsibility.
