The Fundación Celta continues its mission to bring the club closer to its youngest fans through its successful program ‘O Celta na escola’ (Celta at School). On this occasion, the visit took place at Colegio Los Sauces Vigo, where the entire student body enjoyed a very special day filled with “Celtismo” and core values.

The sky-blue expedition, uniting past, present, and future, was led by key figures from different generations and categories of the club: Hugo Álvarez, first-team player and a standout from our academy; Sara Debén, player for As Celtas; Hugo Burcio, a key member of Celta Fortuna; and legendary former player Rodilla, who provided the essential historical perspective of the institution.

During the event, the players participated in a panel discussion moderated by Rubén Martínez, a member of the Fundación Celta board of trustees. In a relaxed and engaging atmosphere, the protagonists addressed essential topics for the children’s development, such as the importance of maintaining healthy lifestyle habits and the discipline required to balance academic studies with professional sports.

Furthermore, students had the chance to hear firsthand about the personal journeys of Hugo, Sara, Burcio, and Rodilla, discovering the effort and sacrifice behind sporting success and the significance of afouteza (courage/bravery) in daily life. The day concluded with the traditional signing of autographs and photos, leaving a lasting memory for the students of Los Sauces and reaffirming RC Celta’s unwavering commitment to its social and educational community.
