Rúa do Príncipe is now home to the Celta Foundation’s photography exhibition, an initiative that brings the organisation’s social work closer to the public through a selection of images showcasing some of its key activities over recent years. Located in the heart of the city, the exhibition invites Vigo residents and visitors alike to discover, while strolling along one of Vigo’s most iconic streets, the scope of a mission that goes far beyond the football pitch.

Through these photographs, the exhibition puts a face to the projects, experiences and people that embody the Celta Foundation’s commitment to society. It offers an opportunity to learn more about its work and understand how sport can become a tool for inclusion, community building and social transformation, making a positive impact on different groups and helping to build a more committed and supportive community.

The initiative is part of the special programme ‘A Match with Heart’, through which Celta will dedicate its match against Deportivo Alavés, on 18 October at ABANCA Balaídos, to recognising and raising awareness of the work carried out by its Foundation. With this exhibition, the celebration extends beyond the stadium and into the city, bringing the Foundation’s social mission closer to the public. Those walking along Rúa do Príncipe in the coming days will have the opportunity to discover an essential part of the Celta project: a commitment that transcends football and demonstrates that when sport is put at the service of people, its power to transform lives reaches much further.
