
The 2025/26 season of Celtalks Adeslas came to a close yesterday with the participation of Jonatan Giráldez at the Salón Regio of A Sede. The Vigo-born coach delivered an inspiring talk in which he reflected on his personal and professional journey, sharing with attendees the experiences, lessons, and values that have accompanied him on his path to the elite level of international women’s football. The event once again brought together a large audience around an initiative promoted by Fundación Celta with the aim of offering stories capable of inspiring and transforming lives.

During his presentation, Giráldez highlighted the importance of perseverance, hard work, and adaptability in overcoming adversity. Through personal and professional examples, he explained how many of the lessons learned outside the football pitch have also shaped his understanding of the game and leadership. Among other topics, he recalled his time working as a waiter before pursuing a professional coaching career, emphasizing how those experiences helped forge his character and his way of relating to people.
The Vigo-born coach also reviewed a sporting career that has made him one of the most recognized figures in women’s football worldwide. After achieving numerous successes at FC Barcelona, where he led one of Europe’s most dominant teams, Giráldez is currently embarking on a new chapter as head coach of Olympique Lyonnais, remaining an international benchmark thanks to his working methodology and vision of the game.

The event also marked the conclusion of the first season of Celtalks Adeslas, which featured distinguished speakers from a variety of fields. During the ceremony, Fundación Celta director Germán Arteta spoke highly of the reception the project has received since its launch, highlighting the interest generated by a series of talks designed to inspire, encourage reflection, and provide attendees with useful tools for their personal and professional development. Arteta thanked all the participants and collaborators who made this edition possible and expressed his satisfaction with the impact achieved by an initiative that will continue to grow in the seasons ahead.
